The whole event is sad.........
The 32 lives lost and the pain and suffering of everyone who were aboard her. The 1 diver who died in floating her. One body still missing.
All because of a arrogant, pretty boy, show off and incompetent Master and poor and dangerous operational and safety polices by the line, Costa and Carnival Inc.
The salvage teams that righted her, floated her ad towed her to Genova preformed a engineering/Maritime miracle.
She is a destroyed *Lady of the seas*, but yet there is still a bit of dignity about her, like she is determined to make it to her last port where her duty will be completed.
Good bye Grand Lady..........you deserved better!
FYI
Just for the record she is not in a dry dock, she is mooring to the inside of the breakwater and will be slowly dismantled there. The Sonpons that help float her are still holding her afloat.
