I think I'm gonna go along with @JenniferS 's avatar and find me a cute Minion for the weekend.

Bandwagon, who's jumping on it?

There was a decidedly festive atmosphere at the evening funeral visitation last night.

My cousin Michelle (Uncle Paul's youngest, and the one who lost her husband in March) was absent; as was her daughter Jessica.

Jessica was finally up at the hospital, in labour. By the end of visitation, her brother announced that he was headed up to the hospital to join his mom and sister, as Jess was "8 cm. dilated". I have never heard a young man boast that his sister had gone from 4 cm. to 8 cm. in less than an hour, but the sheer joy on his face was heart-warming.

I am fully expecting to get to the funeral this morning to hear that we have a new addition!

As we commit Uncle Paul to his final resting place, God has blessed that family with a new baby boy.

Circle of life.

Awe a nice story to wake up to after such a hard week for you.

My Gran a very Irish woman truly believed in the circle of life trilogy, a passing, a wedding and a birth.

Are you a Mogwai?

Put about 1/4 inch of balsamic vinegar in a small glass dish and stretch plastic wrap TIGHTLY over the dish. Poke lots of holes in the plastic wrap with a toothpick or a fork and make sure the holes are big enough for a fruit fly to fit in. Place the bowl on the counter where you have seen them the most. They are attracted to the smell but once they enter through the holes they can figure out how to fly out and fall into the liquid and get trapped.

Thank you. Shopping list balsamic vinegar.

We had the wedding on the 12th (in fact, that grand-daughter is not yet back from her honeymoon), the birth occurred last night at 10:00 p.m. (7 lb. 15 1/2 oz, healthy baby boy), and the funeral commences at 11:00.

I'm expecting a lovely, upbeat celebration of a truly remarkable man.

Plus, it's Aunty's (the Missionary's) first time officiating a funeral, since being ordained.
