AP Discounts are great! Last June, my wife and I went and wound up splitting our 11 night stay at the Pop Century. Technically, we were supposed to be in a Standard room for the first 5 nights and then check out. Then, we were supposed to check back into a Preferred room for the remaining 6...

My thoughts exactly... Dealing with crowds: What do you expect? You're going to one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world! If you don't like crowds, head to Wyoming! :p We choose to extend the number of nights on our trip, but stay at the value resorts to offset the cost...

My experience is that you can't book anything online (even room-only) for dates anywhere in 2010. You can make the room-only reservations if you call on the phone though. I got a quote for off-peak dates in Jan and was quoted full peak season rates... So, you could reserve rooms now if you...

It really shouldn't be hard to estimate the stress and hit rates that would be encountered. There are plenty of simluation programs out there, like IT Guru that would simulate the network traffic on all the servers and other components. Besides, Disney does have online room reservations...
