It's all in how you set your expectations give your self time to relax a day or two it will make your trip more enjoyable in wouldn't count on riding everything in one day also the shorter your trip the more you will miss because you will be rushing
There is two main competitors Universal and Disney with a couple outliners SeaWorld six flags etc. There is no one place like Disney world it's size creates a unique advantage. Universal is catching up but it will take a while I wish Universal kept the theme of living the movies
I hope it works out but for me booking or planning that far out wouldn't even get me excited it's too far away I booked a trip 12 months away and won't get excited until it gets closer
One thing about disney world is there really is nothing else like it that's why they can raise prices and still keep the parks full I firmly believe that.

Been 4 times to wdw all at August I will say it is extremely hot by 10am you'll be sweating if you can tolerate I'd go the end of August it tends to slow down the beginning of August is busy also expect a storm every single day
They probably use these to give certain lighting effects that led can't do maybe I'm wrong I'm no illumnation expert or could be just cheaper to maintain
