Supposedly HRRR will be going down at some point after EU opens for the F&F coaster, plus the Simpsons contract lapses in 2028 so they will need to start on Pokemon sooner than later. But other than that, it's an open quest to what comes beyond those two at USF and IOA.
Universal already has constructed a brand new set of sprung tents next to MIB so the outgoing ones can eventually be demoed for the Pokemon land.
While I don't think they will demo the backstage warehouses in that area, I do think that can maximize the space they have by going the Infinity...
The current rumor going around on the IU forums is Pokemon is slated for 2030 at USF. The reason for that date is because the company is treating Pokemon for Orlando as a very large scale project. A lot of resources are going into it. Things are being moved around behind the scenes to...
If Monsters goes into AC, it will probably buy Muppets at least a few more years. If Muppets goes for something else, you could probably lump that and Star Tours + Indy for a very large area or two.
I think the Shanghai pirates ride system is more likely to be destined for Moana at MK.
I wonder if one of the reasons Moana got pulled from D23 2024 was due to capacity concerns if they went with the patent for the ride system that looked like her ship, so it went back to the drawing board...
Having Pandora in the backlot would also allow DCA to make a great first impression. As for Simba, the best case scenario would be the first phase of the buildout would be announced at D23 2028 with an opening date of 2031-2032.
I don't think you could really do a proper villains land at DCA due to the restrictions of the Simba lot laid out in the DL Forward environmental impact plan.
I'll probably get cancelled over this, but the monorail needs to go. If they took it out they could really expand Tomorrowland far more than what they could now.
