This is just released from Geir Ness, the fragrance designer behind the Laila and Geir perfumes promoted in the Norway pavilion at Epcot:
"EXCITING NEWS!!!
I have worked for the past couple of years to develop a new scent inspired by Disney's hit movie Frozen.
The official launch date will be...
I like that it has been more tied to Norway, a bit disappointed it wasn't a more Norwegian exhibition since everything else is Frozen now... :(
and I really dislike the big spelling error they have! Its not named "rosemåling", its "rosemaling".... "Rosemåling" is Swedish I think...
I posted about this the day before opening. Usually there were 10-11 boats on Malstrøm, but due to weight issues (people) the boats go slower than they used to and this messes up the sensors and causes 101s. So Malstrøm also operated the last few years with 9 boats.
The reason why we are...
Great news!
The stavechurch seems to be getting a pretty Norwegian exhibition after a Norwegian news article I read today. There is a Norwegian woodcarver, that also originally carved wood for the pavilion stavechurch and bakerybuildings, that carved some woodworkreplicas for the exhibition. He...
I heard the first Olaf AA is already dead.
The food department have called in extra staff for crowd control, overtime ok due to all of Epcot being in Norway.
Theyre probably going back on the number of people allowed in the boat. When I worked there we could put 16 ppl in the boats, a bit before I arrived it was 15. 3 in the front. The new boats were suppose to handle more guests but I dont think it worked out too well since we had so many estops...
So its just a few hours away from the grand opening now! Im exited for the chaos to break out, anywhere this will be live streamed?
As a former cast of the ride I hope that they have done some grips to make the ride not estop all the time. The biggest reason for the stops is overweight in the...
Its been pretty clear for a while that the inside of the ride would be all Frozen.
Disney has imo done a GREAT job so far... After what I heard about the ride it will be pretty neat too. The new buildings are great replicas from Norwegian architecture, inside the cabin really looks Norwegian...
I dont know, but hopefully everything will be up by opening, atleast the big AAs so people wont really recognize it, then its never fixed. Like the boat shakingscene in Maelstrom that was installed but never worked.
It was pretty magical, like being in Frozen after what I heard.
There were no guests riding today. Today its only been cast and imagineers. The ride will prob not do any soft opening as theres too much not working... But the ride is pretty awesome after what I heard!
Maelstrom was suppose to open along with the pavilion may/june 1988. It got postponed as there was this construction-error making people either fall into the water after the drop or get soaking wet. It was suppose to open July 1st, but opened July 5th.
