I didn't get any information that this was specifically for WDW or for only one parade. The number of chassis being built could be just a huge coincidence.

That would be Victoria Falls on the Zambezi in Africa. First European to see it was Dr. Livingstone (I presume). He explored the river and surrounding country. (I spent some time there this summer)
Could this be a trade off between construction cost vs. operating cost.
I would think the theater would have a much higher operating cost than a ride due to having to pay the show cast.
Maybe TDO decided they would rather have the lower long term operating cost of a ride?
I have ridden Mater's at DCA and yes it really is a lot of fun. It definitely took me by surprise with how much I enjoyed it. The constant whipping to the left and right makes it very different from a standard whip ride.
The only complaint I had was that that the ride time is too short.
Interesting that they have completely exposed the canal outflow tunnel that ran under LMA. Wasn't there supposed to be a second tunnel built that started close to TSL and run past the remaining back stage support building?
