We once mostly missed CC due to high winds. The Fantasy was late in docking, and i couldn't go snorkeling once we finally docked. Very disappointing.

I think Alaska is still my favorite. Every time I look out our veranda, I'm disappointed if it's not Alaska that I see.

Yes, if for no other reason than to gain an hour a day on the ship. However, they say the northern route in fall is a bit bumpier and colder. Several prior western transatlanticers mentioned that the weather isnt as nice. Unfortunately, it won't fit into our schedule schoolwise either.

On the minus side, the DJ was often a bit too loud, our Seville tour was quite mediocre, and losing an hour most days was tiring. Even so, I would take a Transatlantic cruise every year if I could. Lots of days at sea.

Just got back. Amazing trip. Port days were actually our least favorite. Highly recommend the horse ranch in the Azores, the tapas tour in Cartegena, and the hop on hop off bus in Malarga. Shout outs to Padraig and Rafael in O'Gills, our cabin steward Aldo from Peru, Dede in the adult...

We board tomorrow. Unfortunately, we fly today.

And I've got a long day at work to make sure my firm doesn't fall apart while I'm gone. We also have a neurotic dog to deal with. Not complaining, just agendaing.

Is it just me, or is the dvcmember website a slow mess of late? I tried logging on with my phone, my home computer, and my office computer in the last 12 hours, and I can't get past the balloons and circle of doom. All other websites I wanted to access have been fine. Just dvcmember has been...

Thanks, everyone. Only a few more weeks. My biggest concern is a reluctance, if not an actual fear, of leaving the ship and returning to the big bad world.
