    Conversations disrupting attractions

The second to last time I rode Pirates, there was a guy with his family who thought he was Gabriel Eglesias, offering all kinds of "funny"commentary at full volume, We finally snapped and loudly told him to please be quiet about 1/3 or the way through. It worked, but we had to go ride again.

Rumor Cinderella Castle turning rose gold for the 50th

Minority here as well. I missed seeing the castle cake in person, but I have a family member who took a bunch of high quality close up shots, but he brought me back that shirt mentioned, which I really like.

Rumor Dropping the "Walt" from "Walt Disney World"

I don't think the current state of WDW embodies what would have been Walt's vision, independent of the obvious EPCOT differences. I think even if the true EPCOT vision was never had ( reality set in re: many aspects of the original EPCOT concept), but he was around and developed all that land...

Is the integration of digital technology within Walt Disney World impacting the experience of those with limited digital capabilities?

For the times we took our kids, they did have a great time, but they have seen the decline in all aspects. They are old enough to know there are much better places with greater value, including Tokyo Disneyland as likely the next or only Disney park they will go with their hard earned money as...

Is the integration of digital technology within Walt Disney World impacting the experience of those with limited digital capabilities?

A lot of it depends on the expectations of the professor. It's a student project, likely not going anywhere besides their email accounts, and likely not be checked against what those of us into data analytics would expect. I wish Kerry well. I'm not in the demographic, (too young :p), but the...

What Happens to WDW / Disney Parks during a massive correction / recession?

Just be ready, as noted, to run into shutdowns of things you might want to do. So, don't book it planning to go to a specific restaurant or ride a specific ride.-Karakasa It's nice that they turned the park experience into something requiring so much planning and now that can't be counted upon...

What Happens to WDW / Disney Parks during a massive correction / recession?

We went to Knoebels in PA yesterday. The place was pretty packed very similar to typical weekend packed due to BOGO for a few weekdays for all day ride passes including coasters. Quite a few rides, food venues and even merchandise stores were down due to staffing issues which were not...

News New Polynesian Resort DVC villas building to open 2024

Do those golf courses in the south west of the MK get so much use and bring in so much money that they haven't considered using those to expand? I mean really, they have gutted most of the original resort feel and views as it is.

What will it take to stop you from going to WDW?

Round trip at $5 gallon and 26.4 mpg

What will it take to stop you from going to WDW?

Yeah, a 5 hr drive to visit sis in law, which didn't used to be a big deal, that's a minimum of a $100 trip now in fuel. For those that drive a long distance to Disney, that can be a big deal.

What will it take to stop you from going to WDW?

Pretty much all checkboxes from the OP list. The resort parking fees and cut back of the dining plans to not include tip and reduction of appetizers unless paying for whatever the deluxe DDP was were pretty much the last straws for our personal trips. They didn't all happen at the same time, but...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

As of this morning I heard on the radio that BA2 is doubling every 10 days in NY. NY what (city or state), it didn't say. I still see about 60 percent wearing masks in public here in NJ and about the same in NYC as of this past Friday. If any of you can, catch what may be a traveling exhibition...
