I personally believe Disney knows what they are doing with GOTG. And I believe that Disney will not just make it like a randomly placed ride without an educational element. And yes it’s an IP based ride, but so was Ellen.
They only need to make sure you can't see it while you're standing inside of any of the southern countries. For Epcot, they are not concerned with the sight lines as much. After all, you can see TOT and Swan/Dolphin.
If it follows the plans on the first page, it goes directly over Avenue of the Stars and the back of France. There's no way you would not be able to see backstage.
The Barbados bus stop has been closed. If traveling to the custom house, take the internal shuttle from any of the other bus stops. And there is no pedestrian access to or from the custom house with the rest of the resort.
The other bus stops are the same.

Article that explains the benefits. But I would definitely walk around the park first and judge.
Are we sure this is for road construction? I mean this pretty much points to that mystery building at T-South as well as two possible tower sites for the rumored gondola system. Maybe they were prepping the ground for the towers and clearing the trees and disguise it as road work?
I'm going to be honest. You are not going to live out of a food truck for your entire vacation. Yes they will be running off of food trucks at the resort, but it's Disney World. You are pretty much only eating at the resort for breakfast. Then in the parks for dinner.
May 1st is the start of a...
The main food court and merch area will be fully closed by then for refurb. Food trucks and grab'n'go will be on site as well as temporary merchandise stands. There will be a lot of construction, but with all of the things they are going to do for the guests, it may be even more convenient to stay.
Some complaints of the show itself. The shamans started by playing a fictional instrument announcing each side. It was way obvious they were not playing it since it was weird hearing the music from the speakers and zero from the actual instrument. Too much pantomime for such an authentic show.
So then we will have a whole nother group of people saying
"To me it's still MGM Studios/ Downtown Disney/ Pleasure Island/ that alien ride show thingy/ EPCOT Center/ Epcot".....
The plans to make today's announcement was made a while ago. Before the gondola thing.
Plus DVC has to sell 80% of its newest venture before they can start on another. The cabins are not sold to that quota. So they are not going to talk about any fiture DVC expansions until closer to that number.
