Probably looking at $50 million for the pavilion and another $50 million for a small-medium attraction. But it could be much more than that.
$20 million in a theme park doesn't go very far.
I'm actually with you there, adding a live or SFX shows in one of those theaters seems like a missed opportunity... hopefully they add it sooner or later.
^^
I think you should experience WWoHP and then post on it.... it's really pretty amazing. The fact that you categorize HPatFJ as a "motion similator" means that you're expectations aren't as high as the land delivers.
There's an Ozland as part of Universal Studios Japan, where a 30-minute version of Wicked plays. There's some good pictures if you google it.
I don't believe there is a dark ride there though.
There are a lot of free lancers in the industry and people often jump between Disney, Uni, and the major design firms.
Was a time Disney trained everyone, but now, like the film industry, people can start anywhere and tend to mingle a lot.
Not to add any fuel to a fire (I think at *most* WDI may be developing 2 potential roller coasters for the park, of which one will get picked)
BUT, the rumor doesn't state that the coasters will occupy the space F! did, just that they'll replace it as an attraction, which in my mind could be...
Not sure I buy the two roller coasters part of the rumor.
Maybe one of those is the long rumored Monsters, Inc. coaster, but I can't imagine they'd also be adding another one.
The flying sequences of FJ are FAR superior to Soarin', more movement, and you're not surrounded by 50 people to your left and right and feet hanging above you.
