Anniversary Surprise - Ferrytale Cruise vs AK

Hi all! My family is coming to town and we will be staying at the Poly bungalows this September! My parents are celebrating their 30th anniversary later that month and I’m looking to do something special for them! I’ve been looking into booking either the Wild Africa Trek or a Ferrytale...

Genie + and the non-rope dropper/relaxed vacationer, is it worth it?

So, we've put off using Genie + this long, but we're currently in the midst of planning our Sept 9-13 vacation in which we're considering Genie +. We're weighing if it's beneficial for the type of Disney people we are. Is Genie + worth it for people that do not spend an entire day in the parks...

    Gambling on a June Trip??

Morning everyone, As confusing of a time that it is, I wanted some different perspectives on trip planning in the midst of possible WDW reopening in June. We have a trip planned for June 13-20, I'm all over the place on whether or not it's going to happen. What I'm interested in hearing is...

College Independent Study about Disney using Birnbaum

Thanks so much for your insight :) I was just looking for some insight as many posted about the book being heavy disney promo- or even a suggestion for another book. Between working and being a full time college student, it can be a little challenging driving out to a book store to scan for...

College Independent Study about Disney using Birnbaum

Hello everyone!! I will be a part of the Disney College Program next semester!! However, I will still need to take credits through my university, so I will be conducting an independent study while I am there. Though I have a few ideas, I still need some help! One of my ideas is to test out the...

    Wait Times at Popular Lounges

In the midst of pre trip planning, I've been doing some research on some of a few new places I'd like to test out for a short trip to Disney. I've been super interested in checking out La Cava del Tequila, as well as Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. We will be staying in a bungalow at Polynesian for...

    Best Resorts

Value: Art of Animation (if available) or All star movies Moderate: Port Orleans- either or Deluxe: Polynesian because of the amazing atmosphere and proximity to the Magic Kingdom. Everything at the resort is laid back, and there are amazing areas to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom from the...

Recommend new places based on my previous enjoyment (Table Service)

I agree with the Hoop De Doo, it's a great family style barbecue with pitchers of beer. The entertainment is corny but so fun and very interactive with the crowd! Flying Fish has really good steaks and a nice atmosphere, and you can always enjoy the entertainment and atmosphere of the boardwalk...

    Food and Wine Festival Crowds

Hi everyone, My parents, boyfriend, and I will be staying in Disney for my 21st birthday weekend in September (woop woop). Anyhow, we have plans to dine in Epcot for my birthday dinner on a Sunday, however I'm curious as to how the crowds will be during the second to last weekend in September...

    Epcot FastPass Question

Test track if you don't want to do single rider (we always split up and do single rider if it's too long)! Fun fact, if you're in the park just as Illuminations are about to start then head over to Soarin, it's usually empty and you can get right on (or within 10/15 minutes!)

    Choosing a resort

Personally, I favor the access spots from Yacht Club. The resort itself is nice, as well as the rooms. But the best perk of the resort is the location and excitement from the whole boardwalk scene. Wilderness Lodge is beautiful, but having to take the boat or bus to access parks and monorail...

San Angel Inn or somewhere else?

My family and I love San Angel Inn, the atmosphere is amazing, and we have always enjoyed their food. however, I can understand some of the reviews, as we wish the menu could be a little different. I'm not quite sure the kids would love it as much as adults. Depending on your meal plan, there...

    Favorite buffet

Our favorite is definitely Chef Mickeys for breakfast, they have a killer amount of food, and it's always fun to see the characters at any age. We also love Cape May Buffet for breakfast and dinner! Hoop-dee-doo is also a top favorite dining place over at Wilderness Lodge Camp grounds. It's not...

    Grand Floridian Wishes

As Tuvalu said, the court yard plays music. However, it's not my favorite view, I would definitely suggest walking past the GF Villas and wedding pavilion to the smaller beach by Polynesian, though you cannot hear the music. It's never been crowded for us and the view is magical :)

    Villa Views at Boardwalk!

We will be staying at Boardwalk during our next trip, however we are conflicted on the villa choice. Has anyone stayed at Boardwalk villas with a view of the boardwalk?? Typically, we request a 2 bedroom pool view and have had easy access (luckily) right to the pool. However this year we were...
