She told the video chat people she needed it because she couldn’t stand a long time. Then when she was upset she called the News and told them it was preposterous because she also couldn’t sit for long.
I would guess that GS gave it to her in the park because she shared both bits with them...
This is user error. I’m not a pixie duster, but they can’t read your mind. How were they supposed to know she couldn’t sit for a long time either when she didn’t tell them?
But there’s zero evidence they’re taking it from people who need it.
We won’t know if this deserves outrage until after it starts. The preemptive outrage just isn’t productive
That’s fair. That’s how i view these changes. I might still qualify. If i don’t, hopefully what Disney has up their sleeve works for me. If it doesn’t, i guess i either stop going until my kid will ride things without me or i stop going entirely. I’ve had to stop so many other things i loved, so...
It might behoove you to just skim a handful of pages. But I’ll respond to this anyway:
1) guests with disabilities who no longer qualify for DAS will have accommodations that meet their needs, but that are different than DAS
2) nobody knows what those programs are yet and were won’t Until...
But within the thread there’s evidence that the statement is true. Verified. And even without having hard numbers, Disney has numbers that presumably inform their actions.
So throughout the thread that statement has been pretty much proven. DAS parties ARE slowing everything down
Yeah. Think of it like if the ride was down and the queue got dumped. All those people would be given an any time fast pass and Disney would know that they will come back that day but not when.
No you can only carry one at a time. But you aren’t obligated to come back right at the end of the window. Often times disabilities don’t work with stringent schedules, so i assume that’s why
DAS users can return at ANY time after the return time, before park close. Not an hour window.
So i could get a return time for 10:13 am and then show up at 8:37 pm and use it
I mean, asking for a recap would have been more productive than making a comment without seemingly being aware what has been and is being discussed. Or even seemingly reading the updated policy before commenting.
I think it’s more likely that the people who no longer qualify for DAS will be accommodated in other ways that will allow them to keep going. Maybe not DAS, but I’m optimistic Disney has a plan/process flow
