Trip Report Makin' Memories....One More Time! *COMPLETED*

Makin' memories
Makin' memories
Takin' pictures is makin' memories
Catchin' little pieces of time
Makin' them yours and makin' them mine
Great vacations and celebrations we love to hold near and dear
And when we're makin' memories
Happy days can reappear!

@amjt660 it seemed a little presumptuous of me to include Three Peat in the title of this trip report. A more accurate term might be Repeat, considering this is my third TR in three months. I am fearful that my WDWMagic friends may be weary of me.

But for @Big Hair and anyone else who wants to follow along, Welcome! I truly love reliving our great (and not-so-great) vacation memories through writing these reports. As always, your comments and observations are much appreciated!

So c'mon everybody, here we go........

Cast: Tuvalu, Woody and Em
Dates: June 17-25, 2017
Resorts: Port Orleans Riverside and Polynesian Village ('cause let's be honest......you can take the girl out of the Poly, but you can't take the Poly out of the girl!)

(Does this picture make you woozy? It is an appropriate representation of my Pandora experience.)

Stick around to discover what memories we made!

The three of us split up for our first attractions ~ Woody and Em went their way and I went mine.

It was marvelous to see the Great Movie Ride without the stage in front of it.

The artificial "rolling" bushes always make me smile.

I read that this will be the entrance to Toy Story Land.

I've arrived.
IMG_8593.JPG

You may remember I am a *tad* competitive. Woody and Em prefer not to witness that side of me.

This is up there with my personal bests.

The green army men were wandering around and I stopped to watch.

IMG_8598.JPG

(Ok @wdisney9000 ~ real service dog or not?)

I tried to peek over the fence at the end of Pixar Place but this was all I could see:

Cruz Ramirez has a meet and greet next to the exit of the third track for TSMM.

The woman was wearing a funny tee: Running Late is My Cardio
(Be honest, how many of you can relate?)

I passed by a family studying the DHS Guide Map. Sarge (leader of the green army men) snuck up behind them and said, "You look lost."
Mom: "We are."
Sarge: "Well right now you're in the toy box. Where do you want to be?"
Mom was speechless.

Gotta love Sarge!

Wow! I have never seen the bus lines at Poly look like that!

And, ugh, unruly children and oblivious children. I get that sometimes kids are just going to act up, but I really hate it when the parents are just oblivious to it (crosses fingers my 11 month old decides to remain easy-going).

Yes, I wish these CMs at the resorts could summon buses. I also wish that when a bus like one for DS comes so early and no one gets on they could make a quick trip to where everyone is going. Very wishful thinking though.

I reunited with the concert goers in front of a gift store on Sunset Blvd.

Who wants to eat bagged grayish-purple dryer lint? :hungover:

Seriously, do people buy this stuff?

We went inside the store to look around. Em found "the perfect shirt for Tuvalette."

Remember this picture three years from now when Tuvalette is big enough to wear it!

These gals had just parked in front of the store.

IMG_4416.JPG

Yes, that is a real typewriter. I approached the car to get a better look.

IMG_4357.JPG

The typist struck up a conversation with me.

IMG_4358.JPG

She talked about being a secretary for some famous "moving picture" director, one who works with a lot of "showgirls."
"What do you do?" she asked me.
Playing along (and I have no idea why this came out of my mouth) I replied, "I'm a go-go dancer."
Immediately the gal in the front seat whipped around and looked at me.

IMG_4359.JPG

"A GO-GO dancer??!!" she cackled. "Honey, you look like a WENT-WENT dancer!"
Ouch.

After losing our stomachs on Tower of Terror we decided to revive them with some lunch.

We may not enjoy eating bagged dryer lint, but give us a frozen pre-made pizza and we're happy campers!

No one had booked the banquet hall today. :D

(Perhaps they knew Shirley was coming?)

Now for those of you who don't care for assembly line pizza, Rizzo makes a decent antipasto salad.

@Courtney6682, please make an effort to visit PizzeRizzo next month!

Em took this pic after lunch. Still hoping water returns to the Muppets fountain!

I dragged my old, sorry body to our next attraction.

(Could use your help again here @RyPat.)

As our elevator plunged down for the second time the boy in front of us screamed in terror: "This is what happens when you're bad!!!"
(Not sure what his statement infers about his mother!)

Wow....there are no words. My DS came off of ToT in tears...scared him to bits, poor kid. Never in a million years would I have thought to tell him that he had been bad. I can't even...that poor boy!!!

As always, a great TR so far - you sure you guys cant adopt me? I will carry the suitcases....?
I think you need to up the ante. :p

Couldn't agree more!

Sorry your DHS started on the rough side. Seems like you entered a non-celebrity status alternate universe. :(
Where's my kryptonite?

you would think so but this has happened to us more than once! The last time was a very full MK bus after EMH i thought there was going to be some sort of vigilante justice when the driver went to POP instead of AoA
So aggravating!!!

Nice!!!

Almost as good as :

You're not a has been
You're a never was!!

Perhaps you should have stuck with the Shirley MacLaine facade and said movie star ?

We hustled to the Hyperion for the next Frozen Sing-a-Long. It's the humor that really makes this show.

Anna will still be cute and perky even when she's a senior citizen.

The Historians are the BEST. Here they are with "Wrist Watch" (aka Kristoff).
IMG_4369.JPG

Historian Erik made a couple Lion King references.
"I'll go over here to Shame Rock."
His translation of the opening chant: "An iguana jumped in my pajamas." (Try it!)

Wonder who this could be?

(Historian Aria was very pregnant and I hope she's had her baby by now!)

It's a blizzard! (And not the good Dairy Queen kind! :hungry:)
