Ever see someone get busted at Disney?

I haven't seen anyone get busted in the parks, but I did see Fantasmic a couple years ago and the production crew messed up the projectors on the water screens. After the show as everyone was filing out, I spotted what seemed to be either the Tech Director or Stage Manager flipping out at the guys that were working in the booth just behind said booth. The next time I saw it, there was no such problem

Same here, I have been attending F&W for 6+ years now, seen Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, I have witnessed the occasional person who is overserved, and when Disney is informed about it, or see's it directly, they do their best to deal with it. Honestly, I am more angry at the individual when I see it, because they can't act responsibly in public. I think people are looking to create drama, and something to talk about.

overserved is that the politically correct way to say drunk? It makes it sounds like he or she isn't responsible for their condition. Being drunk!

F&W festival been there done that never seen someone that was "overserved"

Bad move. That's the kind of thing you deal with later on away from the prying ears and eyes of guests.

QFT. People do not typically get "overserved". They get drunk. It's not like that person ordered 1 beer and the CM brought out 10 by mistake.

Really?

I would'nt call it being PC, I would call it being sarcastic.

I have stated time and time again that my issue is with the idiots that ruin it for the rest because they cannot act in a responsible manner in public, IE not knowing when to cut themselves off.

Sarcasm is hard to detect over the interwebz. When in doubt, use this guy.---->

I am new to the forums, so hopefully am putting this in the right place. While visiting Disney Springs around dusk last Wednesday, we witnessed a peculiar situation. We witnessed a young man, maybe late 20's, actually climb over a railing and wade across a shallow spot of the springs themselves, then proceed to climb back up on the walkway across. Soaked clothes and all, he just climbed back up and walked on like nothing happened. This occured near the D-luxe Burger and Frontera Cocina area at a walkway overlook out onto the springs. There were two other guys with him waiting across the springs who were filming his little stunt. It all happened so fast, and my wife and I were completely shocked. At first we thought it was a CM technician going into the water to fix light bulbs on floating lanterns perhaps? But no, we soon realized this was a young guest being stupid to impress his buddies. Plenty of other guests in view of the water saw, but not sure if any security or CM's were aware of what happened. I'm sure having to walk back to parking garage with soaked clothes would be punishment in itself. lol

I saw a woman get caught while urinating through her pants on a lamppost at MK. She did her biz and then started walking away, laughing (totally drunk and wasted), and the security officers were right behind her.

While at Casey's last year for MNSSHP, we witnessed a fight between some jerk and a family sitting at the table next to us. Words were said, punches were thrown and the guy actually pushed the wife of the man sitting at the table. My daughter went and got security. That's when we discovered some Disney security carry more than a flashlight - the guy that showed up had a weapon. Needless to say, the punch throwing, wife pushing jerk was escorted out of the park, all while screaming he did nothing. Yeah, all 10 or so of us who saw the altercation saw nothing. We had noticed him earlier sleeping on the concrete wall along the tables at Casey's...probably sleeping it off.

Many years ago on a large family trip my niece saw two boys shoplift some hats from a kiosk at Fantasmic after the show. She told us, we told her to tell the CM and give a description of the boys. The CM radioed someone about it, and about three minutes later another CM appeared with the merchandise and told us they boys were caught further down near the park exit, and proceeded to thank my niece profusely for her good deed.

During another trip we were returning to ASM one afternoon to find the place overrun with WDW Security Vans and Police and Fire. Asked at front desk if there was anything to be concerned about and were told it just a training exercise. Ummm. Ok. Three WDW Security K9 vans were part of the contingent, and everyone's body language that was there said otherwise. Our best guess was a bomb threat, although there was no evacuation. Just seemed like an odd time and place to conduct any sort of training.

Only thing I have ever seen happen was back in 2000 on Pirates. Something technical/boarding was going wrong so the boats were backed up. Parents and I were enjoying the cool air and being able to sit down but a family (specifically the mother) in the boat in front of us was loudly complaining about the wait and even looking at other boats and trying to get people to agree with her, even though no one else seemed to be bothered by the couple minute hold up. She pulled out a cigarette and lit it openly on the ride. As the boats started to pull up to the boarding area the ride operator yelled at her to put it out, so she flicked it into the water. By the time her boat pulled up to disembark security had come down and escorted the family out of the ride. My family tried to rush to see what happened to them afterwards but couldn't find them outside the ride.

A few years ago, my wife and I were in Hollywood studios under the hat. We saw a lady who must have been in her 60s-70s grab some packages of pins, put them in her bag and walked briskly away without paying

Unfortunately, shoplifting and child abductions are very common at WDW.
Maybe not as much as what was happening in the 1980s and 90s, but a lot of what does happen would probably surprise a lot of people.

Thankfully, there are plenty of 'foxes' ( undercover security ) all around you at any given time to try to combat it.
Dressed to look like typical tourists, they watch everybody and everything.

Oh..and lots of hidden cameras.
Mickey always has his eyes on you in one form or another.
