So what happened to fhisride. Is it closed got good. And why?

It's gone for good. Eventually the Avengers Attraction will engulf the site. Sadly it's already closed and the attraction won't open until 2023.

I'm having a hard time understanding why this ride is already closed and removed from the park maps. It was the most popular ride at the park on each of my visits with the longest lines - its replacement is six+ years away. Why is it closed now? Very weird.

The electric cars were a problem. They could only go for a couple hours on a charge so they had to be continually cycled causing the ride to be a slow loader and cast member intensive. This is why DL did not switch to electric during its extensive Autopia refurb with Honda.
