Magic Kingdom Construction Update 1/8/13

Hello, I went to Magic Kingdom today with my iPhone 5, and was able to take a ton of pictures of the park today. Im here to post some construction updates within the park.
Here are the highlights:
Tangled is looking great
Track on SDMT
The Hall of Champions on Main Street is behind tarps for refurbishment
The Building between Hall of Presidents and The Harbor House is getting an exterior refurbishment
Splash Mountain Refurb Update
The Crows Nest
And to Finalize it, There is some minor rehab work next to the former Adventureland Vendura

And here are a couple bonus pictures, Cinderellas Castle at Dusk with the DreamLights On

Tangled--certainly the prettiest toilets in the MK.

I love watching coasters being built.

Great to see the Splash refurb is at least somewhat extensive.

I'll be at MK this Saturday. Tangled looks great. A bit bummed with all the tarps and construction, but I understand. I'm taking my cousin for the first time (She's 25 and from out of the country) so it should be fun either way.

On an unrelated note, I was at MGM this past weekend and met John Stamos. I saw that someone else saw him at MK yesterday. According to Wiki, he paid 30 grand for a lifetime pass to Disney?

That mine coaster is HUGE! It certainly didn't look like it was going to be that big when I saw it mid-November.

The 7DMT is looking better than I thought. Many have been calling it a "C" at best but I have a feeling that the theming/landscaping etc. might kick it up to a "D". I'll be seeing it firsthand in a couple of weeks.

Great pictures! I really liked the one with the curve of the SDMT coming over the construction wall. It is exciting to see that take shape. Also, cool picture of the Tangled tower; I'm impresses by the level of theming going into that area> Thanks again for sharing with the board!

Contemporary will be hidden when it's done, as best as possible. They're still adding trees in various places around New Fantasyland trying to hide Space Mtn and the Contemporary from the sections that are open. And thank you for proving a point in a discussion I had with someone whose name gets mentioned around the boards from time to time recently about this very subject. Great photos.

Not sure about the lifetime pass but I'm pretty sure he bought the old Disneyland sign before DCA opened. Big Disney fan.

Anyone know when the MK Christmas decorations are coming down? Nothing like hearing Christmas music and seeing decorations on January 8th. Seems like they've been pushing this back later and later, even into marathon weekend. Note to Disney - the holidays are over, lets move on.

When I was there last week I asked about the decorations being up after New Years and I was told they would be up until Epiphany which is January 6th. Maybe the castle lights stay up longer since they are like winter lights.
