Corporate Lounges

Is there a list of all of their locations? So far, I know of the following:

GM Lounge, Test Track
HP Lounge, Mission: SPACE
United Technologies Lounge (no longer in use), The Seas

Are there more scattered around WDW? Or are they all in Epcot?


EDIT: If anybody has pictures inside the lounges that would be great too.

I know there's Base21 at the back of Spaceship Earth. And then when The land had a sponsor it was directly above Garden Grill. That's about all I know. I have pictures of Base21 when it was owned by AT&T. My father used to work of AT&T and we went up there. It was nice. Have to to find the pictures though.

AAA Lounge in Tomorrowland, near Carousel of Progress (not in use/Cast events)
McDonald's Lounge at Dinosaur (not in use/special events)

In addition, it's not really a "lounge" per se, but there is a special are called the "Hollywood Hideaway" near Sounds Dangerous that is used for various VIP functions.

Furthermore, a little bit of trivia about the Mission: Space lounge--the Red Planet Room was not the original planned lounge. A much larger space was built for it adjacent to M:S' extended queue, but HP decided it wanted a smaller, cheaper lounge. The larger lounge building is still visible to Guests as a wall of heavily tinted windows in the extended queue. It's currently used for various types of storage.

Back in the day I was an employee of General Electric, and was able to visit the Corporate Lounge in the Horizons pavilion at Epcot Center. I took the following photos circa April, 1991.

To enter the lounge, you walked around the right side of the Horizons building and entered into a small lobby. A Host or Hostess in the lobby would check your GE Employee ID badge and sign you in. Then they would either escort you to the unload area of the ride so you could board the ride, bypassing the queue, or they would escort you into an elevator and up into the lounge.

In the lounge were soft, comfortable easy chairs and sofas to sit in. The Hosts and Hostesses would serve drinks to you and your family in stylish, hexagonal glasses, along with light snacks. In the background, on a huge video screen, you could watch Epcot promotional videos and a live video feed from automated cameras mounted on the pavilion. These cameras would automatically pan, tilt and zoom over to many of the other pavilions in Future World and World Showcase.

Also in the lounge was a glass-walled conference area, with a conference table and very nice sculptures and paintings around it.

Horizons had always been my favorite pavilion at Epcot Center, and gaining access to the GE Corporate Lounge only reinforced that sentiment.

Back when Space Mountain was sponsored by FedEx, they had a corporate lounge where employees could stop in, sit in the a/c, and grab a Coca Cola and a snack. It wasn't very big. Not sure what it is used for now.

There was also a lounge over the grandstands at the Tomorrowland Speedway. Don't know if it was for a corporate sponsor or just a VIP lounge, but it offered a great view of the speedway.

It's been about 10 years since I have been in either lounge, so I don't know if they are still in use or not.

Ah, so that's where the storytime ended up. I'd seen the posters in passing at Cast Services, and sort of wondered where in the pavilion it was being held.

Ah, so that's where the storytime ended up.

Yes, this area is being used for AAA storytime. It is really very nice with a few chairs on the second story looking over the Norway pavilion in one room and another room with chairs set up in rows for the actual storytime.

I was actually in this lounge a couple of weeks ago. Can't say who I know at the attraction because I don't want them to get into any trouble or anything, but I was there eating my dinner that the person had brought for me from home LOL I don't exactly recall seeing any FedEx signage in there, but then again, I wasn't really looking. It's a decent space, a couple of tables, some cubicle-like work spaces, microwave, fridge...that's all I can remember seeing. I thought about taking some pictures, but never did. I'll see if I can get the person to get me back there again the next time I'm at the park so I can get some pictures :drevil:

So goes alot of formerly used space, especially in Epcot. But when there are no companies willing to spend the money, what else are they going to do with it? Most don't seem to be set up in locations that are easily accessible for guests.

There is a largish flat screen TV up there in the M:S lounge. You can see it if you are in just the right spot in the queue. Last week we were standing in the queue and I look up and there is some soap opera playing. The scene was some love scene with two people going at it in a bed.

By the time I got my camera out, the scene had changed.

How does one go about getting into this lounge? I'm in Orlando right now with my brother, who works for HP. However he forget to bring his employee badge on this trip.

AFAIK, he would need his employee ID to gain access to the lounge. I'm not sure if the lounge hosts have a way of verifying his employment without it. You could give it a try, though. After you get a launch ticket, stay along the left wall as it curves around. You'll eventually get to a break in the wall, with a little sign with an HP logo on it. Follow the sign back though the hallway, and try speaking with the lounge hosts through the intercom at the end of the hallway.
