The only way that building another park would fix the real problem is to build an exact copy of magic kingdom. Call it MK Jr. (looks just like his dad) According to many that is what they are sort of doing with the other parks right now anyway.

Perhaps "flesh out"? The last time they tried high-pressure flushing (Disneyworld welcome center), it didn't turn out too well.

Other than labor, current building material costs, park and road design sure.

Building a fifth park won’t aid in crowding.

It would actually make the crowding worse because there would be even more demand.

There are only two ways to alleviate overcrowding, and one of them (raising ticket prices) has been proven ineffective.

It is working. In the last quarterly Wall Street conference call, profits are up in parks and resorts division.

but at some point, at some number, even the Disney park diehards and addicts have to say enough is enough and stick with the .25 slots. The $5 slot machines are just too rich for their blood.

Disney has no incentive to reduce crowds.

It would increase demand at all parks. I don't know what the ratio is, but doubt first time or occasional visitors would be as willing to skip the other parks. So while building a 5th may influence them to visit, the other parks would have to absorb the remaining days.

There is no incentive now for Di$ney to lay out any capital while the crowds keep coming, but we'll see what impact Univ Epic has on attendance. Will people extend their vacations to spend more time at UE or choose to spend less days in WDW to attend Univ.

The reservation system actually isn't to manage attendance. It's more about managing staffing. Partly to make sure they have what they consider adequate staffing, but mostly to make sure they never end up what they consider "overstaffed".

Well it does both, once you know how many guests are expected then you know how much staffing is needed.

Mickey has no reason to spend another dime to expand capacity. People are willing to pay whatever Mickey demands for the current setup.
Also, given the rate of the current building projects, it would take Mickey a number of years to build another park. But again, there is no reason to do so.

Everyone would love to see a fifth gate, but they barely want to spend money on the existing parks (see EPCOT restrooms).

Also there will be truckloads of money spent on reimagining tomorrow that could have been spent on the parks..
