i dont know if any of you heard about this,but i was wondering where all that nasty stuff in the disney movies comes from...have you heard in aladdin where in the background it says 'good teenagers take off your clothes' or in the lion king,where the spell out 's-e-x' in a couple of scenes...and in the little mermaid...on the old box there was a 'guy part' on it....what is up with all of this..kinda makes me lose all kinds of respect for disney in a way...do they still do this in movies...sorry..my computer is messed up...i cant hit shift,so i cant do question marks and stuff..but could yall help me out and tell me why disney had this in their movies :confused: :confused: :confused:

i dont think disney as a company did these things-if it happens it is the the work of discruntled animators or ones who think they are doing something funny.you cant think for a new york minute that disney had this done purposely.if it was in fact proven there were things done im sure would try to fix it very quickly by recalling videos and cutting it from the films themselves.this is kinda like food lion got busted on 20/20 for bleaching bad chicken and selling it-this was the work of a few bad meat managers but the media made it to be this the way all 2000 food lions were instructed to do business.every company has bad apples and companies like disney get rid of them but cant always catch things all the time.

Remember its a URBAN LEGEND!!!! well the Munckin is a U.L. But the Rescuers is TRUE~!!! I think the munchkin thing was just a bird in the background...... But I could of swore I saw a swinging body.. The reason he comiddedsuicide is because he lost his midgit girlfriend before that day's shoot... Then he wanted to be remembered.. Thats again... A U.L.~~!!

Blame the Disney Contract...

As a friend of MANY animators from WDA I can tell you why MOST of these things happen...

Aside from the ones that are "accidental" or "Mistaken"...the rest are done because of disgruntled animators TRYING to get fired. They only way to get out of a Disney Contract is to be terminated..you cant quit. So they add things that get "missed" and end up in the final version. This didnt start happening until The Little Mermaid, and that is also the film it is MOST obvious in.

They have been cracking down on it a LOT harsher now so its less likley more "slips" will happen again...

I wont even get into how many littler mermaid statues were "missing" when they were drawing that movie... I just try not to think about WHAT happened to them...a cute 16 year old mermaid...oy...

The wizard of oz thing was a boom mike operator hanging a mic that fell. But since they were over budget they couldn't reshoot the scene for just that.

As far as the hidden disney stuff, some of it is there if you want to see it. If you are told by some one that if you look hard enough you'll see the word ______ or see a guys piece, you will whether its there or not...

WHAT?? hidden messages in Disney Films, next youll be telling me if I spin my Ozzy records backwards theyll be messages there too.
I notice that there two frames a few frames apart I find it hard to believe that the brain will register this.
Besides are naked breasts the end of the world as we know it, is the odd school boy style rude word the end of freedom, I think not. You can see far more graphic images on news reports anyday of the week.
Still as has been said before if you look long and hard enough you can always find something to class as corupt.

90% of these "hidden messages" you think are so real are FALSE!

You see and hear what you WANT to hear because you WANT it to be true. I am an animator and when I was in college we examined these movies pretty much frame by frame, and the topic of the "hidden messages" came up over a dozen times..only on a FEW SELECT occasions were the messages actually there...

MOST of my teachers back in college were ex-disney employees who worked on these films and they confirmed what was legit and what wasnt. To go assuming that EVERY disney "myth" is real is not only nieve, but insluts the animators.

The MUSICIAN side of me also finds your comments about the hidden messages in music to be also very foolish. EVERY INSTANCE of "hidden messages" that was reported was PROOVED to be FALSE. It is the gullability of America that causes all these problems...nothing more.

And for the record..."All good teenagers take off their clothes" is one of the oldest "myths" out there..and it isnt even real...again..you hear it because you WANT to hear it.

Breasts? so I take it theres no topless bathing in the US, or page 3 maybe its because I live in a house full of females that I dont see breasts as an issue. Maybe as an ageing chuff my brain has been so corrupted aby Quo, Maiden & Priest that I lack the inteligence to rig my CD to play backwards so I can hear thes messages. As for NSYNC there whole album is suliminal for "its amazing what tosh some people will buy".

I have to agree with NOW....America is so uptight and PC these days that they go out and look for things that are wrong. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this, but it leads to finding things that simply aren't there:

The scene in the rescuers goes by so fast a 7 year old kid would never catch it. So no harm, no foul....only guys that spend time looking for errors are even going to have a chance of seeing what it was.....and before the time of digital media, it was very difficult to begin with.....only a frame-by-frame analysis would have ever uncovered the truth.

The lion king/litte mermaid falsehoods (yes, I said falsehoods), are just that......I could just as well say that Cinderellas's castle has phallyic symbols rather than towers stretching into the sky, but I won't, because that is just plain absurd.

Disney changes things to save face and to avoid controversy. They do not change them because those objects are actually there....I can find a lot of shapes in the clouds, too....does that mean I should boycott them? I think not....it's an absurd example, but it shows what I'm trying to prove.

You can always find what you're looking for if you try hard enough.

This thread is going from absurd to "psycho" because people are trying to talk to you rationally, and you are telling them they are ignorant and short-minded. Most people, including myself, will not try and argue with someone who refuses to look at all the evidence. Ever consider that the people who are looking for this stuff in disney films are looking for a quick buck by suing disney saying there was subliminal messages or references or things seen slightly out of focus in the background.

As for the music.....I'm not even going to address it, because it's that insane....

I suggest that if you want to continue this discussion, you do so in a rational, and adult manner.

Ummm, Ok, I think I need to say this...
If someone tells you something like theses supposed subliminal messages exist, and they have several times in the past, especially with music, you are going to get a certain amount of the general public who is actually gullible enough to believe it...Just because there is something that sounds like what they are saying...dose'nt make it so. Have you ever played the game "Telephone"?? Where one person says a phrase, and it gets passed on to other people, by whispering it in your ear?? By the time you get to the end, it is a completely different phrase! Thats what happens. It may SOUND like thats what it is, but it is completely wrong!
Also I have to say, that if a person is soooo obsessed with the fact hat Disney may have some evil subliminal messages, and takes the time to over analize things, I feel that they have entirely too much time on their hands, and need to get some kind of life...Our time on this planet is wayyy to short to spend on silly things such as these. Go do some volunteer work, maybe we all would be better for it in the long run:)

I'm going to say this as nicely as I can.....

You're not listening to anyone here....this "subliminal messages" thing has been going on since long before you were born. Old records supposedly were the devils voice if you spun them backwards. Of course, it sounds weird , but it's what people make of it.

Disney is the first to admit that things have happened, but corrections have been made, and the complaining stopped. There is a huge screening process now to make sure nothing like this ever happens again.

GOOD Teenagers take off your clothes....well, that's what you hear...the script calls for a similar line, but it was said quickly, so one guy hears it by accident, and it starts to spread like wildfire...all of a sudden all the people who never thought twice about it can hear it too....only because they are looking for it.

I'm going to categorize your attitude within in the "I'm right and th world is wrong" category....you are refusing to hear us explain the methods to why things like this happen....you only hear us saying "you're wrong", and then you tell us we're in denial.

This couldn't be farther from the truth. This board has a HUGE amount of knowledge on its side...we know people and have people inside of Disney and a lot of the inner departments of disney, so we've all been educated by these people as they've come and gone. It's not us that's in denial -- It's you that think you have found the hidden truth, only to have it turned around.

We'll be more than happy to discuss if these things actually exist, but for you to say "I'm right, you're wrong, and I refuse to hear any arguments." This is no way to start a discussion.

Just trying to help....you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar.

I never said ALL the myths were false..In fact I know from people who worked on the cartoons of a few VALID ones..but to think that EVERY myth is try is just proof of how gullable Humans can be...

figmentbaby... i LOVE being an animator..although most of what I do is Computer based, I did a bit of traditional animation back in college..its a really rewarding career..the only downside is finding work..but if you are good..you have no worries ;)

When I first heard about the Aladdin rumor a few years back, I decided to see for myself.

I had to turn the volume on my TV WAY up to even hear anything. And when I did hear something, I had trouble understanding what was said as it wasn't very clear.

Therefore, I think I can let my 4-yr-old watch Aladdin & feel pretty confident that he won't start stripping off his clothes because some "subliminal message" told him to.

He just watched The Lion King today. If he starts writing the word S-E-X over and over, I'll be sure to let you guys know. :rolleyes:

Personally, I think all Disney movies since 1971 have had the same subliminal message in them: "Go to Disney World and give us your money". How else can you explain why we all go there so much and love the place but non-Disney fans do not?

I remember when I was a kid and had vinyl albums. I would play my Beatle records backwards to here the hidden messages like "Paul is dead". I could convince myself it was there but in reality they were saying something like "Ishsd aksf gruenhdbj" which I admit is very close to "Paul is dead".

i just listened to the aladdin clip and what can i say? it's bull! geez people! listen tot he clip! OBVIOUSLY(sp?) someone dubbed their voice over the long and normal takes and as for the slow version? even though i WANTED to hear "good teenagers take off your clothes" i KNEW what it said "good kitty take off and go". the similarites between the 2 phrases are close. Sub. Mes= 6 words, 8 syllables. actual phrase= 6 words, 7 syllables. so you can see the first is too long, by a syllable (any parody-song writer will tell you the importance of syllables! any song writer for that fact). as for the little mermaid "things"-the cover-i couldn't tell. someone must have been looking for something like that, maybe the guy who drew it. the erection the priest has-bull, can't tell and it doesn't look like it. as for the lion king- i can arrange eraser shavings on a piece of paper and have them say "i'll kill the president". come on people! GROW THE FUDGE UP!!! everyone who BELIEVES in those UL are like the film critic for the charlotte observer-they're morons! i'm done now.:D

Go back and look at this thread from the very beginning. Try to keep in mind that your post is not on just any chat room, but a forum for people who share the love of WDW, and most things that are Disney. Then try to remember that these people are of all ages, from different walks of life. Some of these people are very talented, resourceful, and have followed anything Disney since many, many years before you were born. Maybe the next time you are curious about a "rumor" or even something you hear in the news that points fault at Disney, ask about it. Just don't jump in on a forum like this and treat it as gospel.

I have not been a member long, but I would like to give some friendly advice - after reading many older posts on this site, I would advise not mincing words with tramp...he is way out of your league.

You would love to think the reason we all got "upset" is because of you saying something negative about disney...I personally got upset with you because you would keep recieving my VALID replies and saying i was in Denial. I know for a FACT (if you dont know the meaning of that word..go to www.websters.com ) that most of those "subliminal" messages are FAKE. Take a few deep breaths, disney_freak, and take this as not a put down, but simple facts:

1. You have not graduated from high school.
2. Probably (just guessing), in the state you live in you are a legal juvenile, completely under the control of your parents.
3. You cannot get a job that would pay you enough to be on your own unless you were a hooker, a drug dealer, in the porn business (same as hooker), or worked for your family's business.
4. You are not ready emotionally, mentally, or socially to have a baby (not a put down to you: NO 15 year old is ready).
5. You are not old enough to vote.
6. You are not old enough to buy alcohol or in most states, even possess it.
7. In most states, you are not old enough to drive on your own.
8. You are not old enough to purchase a firearm.

There are many more I could list, but my point is, wether you want to hear it (or read it), you are a child. Not a put down to you, just a fact of life. I would guess that some of the people on this forum have lived several lifetimes over, compared to your brief 15 years on this blue ball. I know I have. If you want to continue to make the comments and posts that you have been doing, then be prepared to face the consequences.

And if you think some of the posts regarding you and an 18 year old driving to WDW were mean, they're nothing to what a couple of thugs would do to you between your home and WDW.
